As part of the narrative Rundgang through the Schaubühne Lindenfels and the adjacent Westflügel, I discovered that the Westflügel stage was once home to an “Ofenrohr und Blechwarenfabrik” (a stovepipe and metal goods factory). This industrial past, now almost forgotten, became the inspiration for my project: an AR video installation that revives the lost architecture and history of the space.

Initially conceived as an interactive AR experience, the idea was to allow each participant to explore the 3D reconstruction of the factory on-site using a tablet. However, due to the unavailability of enough devices, the project evolved into a recorded AR experience, which was projected onto the stage, accompanied by a layered soundscape that evoked the factory’s past atmosphere.
